Police have now laid criminal charges against the driver of a pickup truck involved in a September collision in the Sault that killed a pregnant woman.

At the time of the crash, police said a pickup truck heading east crossed the centre line east of Allens Side Road, striking a westbound delivery van and a Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Mikayla Ouellett, 26, who was killed.
CTV News later confirmed that Ouellett was pregnant at the time of her death.

The accused in the case was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 22.
