Around 10:15 a.m. on March 19, a 911 call came in reporting a disturbance outside a business.
“An investigation revealed the accused had been lying on a sidewalk outside a business and was asked to move along by a security officer,” police said in a news release Monday.
“Once standing, the accused threatened a security officer while wielding two hammers. The accused then used a hammer to damage a taillight of a nearby vehicle. An arrest warrant was obtained.”
He was arrested March 26 and charged with mischief under $5,000, assault with a weapon and three counts of violating probation.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on May 26.
