Downtown business was ‘ransacked,’ North Bay police say

North Bay Police responded at 3:40 a.m. Tuesday to the crime scene on Main Street West in response to a glass-break alarm.

Police are searching for a suspect wanted for an early morning break-in at a business in downtown North Bay on Tuesday.

“Upon arrival, officers found the business had been ransacked and several items had been stolen,” a news release said.

Suspect had a puffy jacket

“The Ontario Provincial Police canine unit, as well as the North Bay police forensic unit and a police drone, are being utilized in this investigation.”

The suspect is described as a man wearing a dark puffy jacket, a light-coloured hoodie and a baseball cap.

Anyone with information that can help with the investigation, including security camera footage or dash camera footage from the area around the time of the incident, is asked to contact the police at 705-497-5555 and press ‘5’ to speak with an officer.
