Canada-wide warrant issued for man known to frequent the Sault

The repeat offender parole enforcement (ROPE) squad is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breaching his statutory release.

Nicholas Pears, 57, is known to frequent Sault Ste. Marie area, the Ontario Provincial Police said Monday.

Has several tatoos

Pears is Caucasian, stands 5-foot-9 (175 cm), weighs 180 pounds (82 kg) with brown hair and brown eyes.

He has several tattoos, including a skull and dragon on his right upper arm; reaper and a clown face on his left arm; devil on his shoulder; and, barbed wire on his right wrist.

Pears is serving a six-year, five-month sentence for drug trafficking, weapons offences and failing to comply with an undertaking.
