Sunny weekend ahead in Montreal

It will remain sunny and humid in Montreal for the weekend as the summer sun continues to shine.

The mix of rain and clouds hovering over Montreal on Friday is promising to give way to a sunny weekend.

Those on the island can expect clear skies and a low of 18 degrees Celsius on Friday night. 

Saturday is set to have a cooler start with a temperature of 17 degrees Celsius before the afternoon brings an above-seasonal high of 29 degrees Celsius.

A low of 20 degrees Celsius and clear skies are expected come Saturday night, bringing a brief break from the heat.

The mercury is expected to hit 32 degrees Celsius on Sunday, though humidity could make it feel as warm as 39.

Daytime highs in the 30s could also kick off next week.

The normal daytime high for late July is 26 degrees Celsius.
