An investigation is underway after an unconscious man was found early Wednesday morning on a balcony in Vieux-Longueuil on Montreal’s South Shore.

Longueuil police (SPAL) says it was called to the scene on Green Street at 2 a.m.

“The man was transported to hospital,” said Jacqueline Pierre, a spokesperson with Longueuil police. “His death was confirmed there.”

The force notes the death is “suspicious,” and investigators are on site to determine the events leading up to the incident.
