A woman in her 40s is in hospital after police say she was pinned between two vehicles in the Mont-Royal parking lot on Monday afternoon.
Montreal police (SPVM) say they received several 911 calls at 4 p.m. and responded to the intersection of Remembrance Road and Olmstead Trail.
When officers arrived, they found the woman on the ground with serious injuries to her lower body.
She was treated by paramedics at the scene before she was sent to hospital in critical condition.
She has since stabilized, and officials say they no longer fear for her life.
According to information provided by witnesses, police say the woman was standing in front of the trunk of her car when an SUV struck her with the front of his vehicle, pinning her between both bumpers.
Police say a 27-year-old driver was arrested for dangerous driving.
The investigation is ongoing.
