Wet weather to be followed by picnic-ready sunshine for Mother’s Day

After a Friday that brought cool temperatures in the single digits and approximately 13 mm of rain in Montreal, the weekend ahead will make up for it.

The island will see temperatures return to seasonal norms starting on Saturday where the daytime high will hit 17 degrees C with cloudy skies.

Conditions will be pleasant, but be prepared for the winds gusting up to 40 kilometres an hour in the afternoon.

Mother nature plans to deliver a wonderful forecast for all the mom’s out there on Sunday.

Expect a plenty of sunshine and a comfortable high of 18 degrees for Mother’s Day, making it the perfect day for a picnic.

The work week will bring summer-like temperatures starting on Monday where a few clouds are expected, making way for sunshine, and a high of 23 degrees.

The mercury will continue to rise on Tuesday with a high of 27 degrees, and a mix of sun and clouds.

On Wednesday and Thursday, Montrealers can expect mostly cloudy skies, and holding on to warmer temperatures with a high of 26 degrees.

We will end the week with the risk of a thunderstorm on Friday, and a high of 27.
