South Shore woman gets $1 million birthday present from Loto-Quebec

Happy Birthday! You’re now a millionaire.

Montérégie resident Lise Bilodeau was checking the Quebec Max ticket that she bought at a Couche Tard in Brossard on April 15 when she got the surprise of her life.

“She initially thought she’d won $1,000, then saw there were too many zeros for that to be the case,” Loto-Quebec said in a news release. “When she looked more closely at the draw results, she realized she had the winning numbers and had actually snagged $1,000,000.”

Bilodeau says she called her spouse right away and asked if Loto-Quebec could deliver the prize on her birthday.

“I didn’t expect there to be party balloons,” she said.

Bilodeau says she plans to move and buy her dream car.

The news release did not specify what type of car that was.
