Teenager found dead in park in Montreal’s West Island; police investigating

Montreal police say they were called to a park in Montreal’s West Island after the body of a male teenager was found.

Montreal police (SPVM) say they were called to a park in Montreal’s West Island after the body of a male teenager was found Thursday morning.

A 911 call came in at 8 a.m. after a passerby found an unconscious person on the ground near the corner of Trinity and Chauret streets in Trottier Park in Dollard-Des Ormeaux (DDO), according to a police spokesperson.

The teenager, who police believe to be between 16 and 18 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene.

“When the paramedics arrive on site, no CPR maneuvers were done because his death was pronounced on site,” said SPVM spokesperson Mariane Allaire Morin.

Police say the incident is being investigated as a suspicious death.

Investigators went door-to-door on Thursday looking for information.
