The computer system at the Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport is back up and running again after a slowdown in operations on Tuesday.
Despite the gradual resumption, the airport is “still recommending that travelers validate their departure and arrival information on their airline’s website before coming to YUL.”
Aéroports de Montréal (ADM) officials are encouraging passengers to allow extra time to clear check-in and security in preparation for their flights.
The YUL systems serving our passengers are back in operation. We still recommend that travellers validate their departure and arrival information on their airline's website, before coming to YUL. Thank you for your understanding.

According to airport management, connectivity problems on “several computer systems” were to blame for slowing down airport operations, particularly at check-in and security.
The most notable delays were at Air Canada and Sunwing, an airport spokesperson confirmed by e-mail.
In a press release issued at 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the airport confirmed that an investigation was underway to determine the cause of “this widespread systems failure.”

It adds that a failed infrastructure network upgrade, planned in conjunction with Bell Canada, the airport’s service provider, is at the root of the outage.
“In the final upgrades overnight on March 25, 2025, there was some unexpected behaviour in the ADM network, which took the connection offline, impacting airport operations throughout the day,” the telecommunications company said in a statement published on X.
