Man arrested after allegedly touching woman’s feet, committing other sex act at Verdun beach

A suspect wanted by Montreal police for alleged sex offences at Verdun beach last summer has been arrested.

Police said a 27-year-old man turned himself in this week. After he was arrested, he was released on a promise to appear in court at a later date with conditions.

According to police, a man approached a group of two men and three women at the beach on July 21, 2024 at around 5 p.m. and asked to give one of the women a massage, but she refused.

“The suspect then began to caress her feet without her consent. He then began to masturbate in full view of everyone,” police said in a news release on April 24, 2025.

After one of the men in the group called 911, the suspect allegedly spat at the group and tried to headbutt one of the men. He then fled before officers arrived on the scene.
