Armed thieves hit two cell phone stores in one day at South Shore mall

Longueuil police (SPAL) are investigating after two mobile phone stores at the Promenades Saint-Bruno mall on Montreal’s South Shore were robbed on Friday.

According to the SPAL, one of the robberies was committed by a group of individuals armed with knives who then fled in a vehicle before police arrived on the scene.

A second mobile phone store in the same mall was also robbed on Friday. Police are investigating whether the two incidents are connected.

No injuries were reported.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
