1 dead after head-on collision between school bus and car

A 91-year-old man is dead after his car collided with a school bus on Quebec Route 201 in the Montérégie region.

Quebec provincial police received several 911 calls at 7 p.m. Tuesday about the head-on collision between a car and a school bus in Coteau-du-Lac.

The bus had students on board, and four teens were brought to hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries.

The bus driver was not injured.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) says it has reason to believe that slippery roads were to blame for the collision.

Route 201 is closed and the investigation is ongoing.
