Fatal crash closes portion of 401 in Elgin County

OPP are investigating a crash that has closed a portion of Highway 401

One person has died as a result of a crash on Highway 401 in Elgin County.

According to police the crash was between a passenger vehicle and a commercial motor vehicle — the passenger vehicle was travelling eastbound in the westbound lanes of the highway.

All westbound lanes are closed between Currie Road and Graham Road.

The victim has been identified as a 25-year-old man from London.
