A crew from London Hydro has been dispatched to help restore power in Alliston following a weekend ice storm.

Early Monday morning 13 linemen and some essential equipment and supplies were sent to the area to help restore power to residents impacted by the storm.

Municipalities across central Ontario are in crisis mode following an ice storm that has left nearly 400,000 customers without power.

Many communities have declared a state of emergency, and residents are expected to remain without power for several days.
