London Hydro has been recognized by industry peers for work in advancing a technology that many utility users take for granted.
At the recent Green Button Alliance Annual General Meeting (AGM), London Hydro was recognized for a decade of advancing Green Button Technology.
Green Button Technology is a standardized energy data-sharing initiative that allows customers to access and share their electricity usage data.
“Investing in the future needs of Londoners is a key priority of London Hydro,” said CEO Ysni Semsedini. “Our ability to share this technology with other providers showcases our leadership in the province and country.”
London Hydro was one of the first utility companies in Canada to offer Green Button Download my Data and Connect My Data to customers.
This allows users to monitor their usage in real time, while also providing insights to make smarter consumption choices and bring their bill down.
