A break from the rain Friday before unsettled weather comes our way this weekend

CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison says Friday will be our break from the rainy weather we’ve been having.

Some cloud cover and foggy conditions kick off Friday morning, but we’ll have some nice, sunny breaks by lunchtime.

“The winds will be light and variable, generally in northerly flow, but the high temperatures still coming in at 20 degrees,” said CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison. “Our next weather system will arrive on Saturday.”

Atchison says Friday will be our break from the rainy weather we’ve been having.

“We do have some sunshine as we head into the afternoon and we’re going to dry out temporarily,” she said. “A cold front comes in on Saturday with a chance of rainfall and the possibility of some thunderstorms.”

The temperature will drop Sunday, Atchison warns, with negative temperatures expected overnight Sunday into Monday.

Friday: Cloudy. Clearing near noon. Fog patches dissipating in the morning. High 20. UV index 7 or high.

Friday night: Clear. Becoming partly cloudy after midnight. Wind becoming south 20 km/h gusting to 40 after midnight. Low 11.

Saturday: Cloudy with 70 per cent chance of showers. Windy. High 19.

Sunday: Cloudy with 40 per cent chance of showers. High 6.

Monday: A mix of sun and cloud with 30 per cent chance of flurries. High plus 3.

Tuesday: A mix of sun and cloud with 30 per cent chance of showers. High 13.
