Westbound lanes of Highway 403 shut down through Brantford due to collision

A collision has shut down a section of Highway 403 through Brantford.

According to a social media post from Brantford Police, a vehicle hit the Wayne Gretzky Parkway bridge early on Monday afternoon.

As of 2 p.m., the westbound lanes were closed until further notice.

Police also said traffic was busier than usual in the area due to the detour.

No further details have been shared about the severity of the crash or any damage to the bridge.
