Three Guelph residents charged with impaired driving in separate incidents

Three Guelph residents are facing impaired driving charges following separate incidents over the weekend.

Guelph Police say officers responded to a collision on Vanier Drive shortly after 8 a.m. Sunday, where they located a damaged van with airbags deployed. The driver showed signs of impairment and failed a roadside test, police said.

A 22-year-old Guelph man was arrested and charged with impaired driving.

In a separate incident Saturday night, a 49-year-old Guelph man was in the city’s west end and charged with impaired driving and breaching a probation order.

Also Saturday night, a 69-year-old Guelph woman was arrested and charged with impaired driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

Police said all three drivers had their licences suspended for 90 days and their vehicles impounded for seven days.
