The Kitchener Rangers have punched their ticket to the next round of the OHL playoffs.
The team beat the Flint Firebirds 2-1 Friday night, with a full house cheering on the Rangers at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium.

The win also secured their series lead 4-1.
The Rangers will now face the Windsor Spitfires in round 2 of the playoffs.
The schedule is as follows:
- Game 1 – Thursday, April 10 at 7 p.m. at the WFCU Centre in Windsor
- Game 2 – Saturday, April 12 at 7 p.m. at the WFCU Centre in Windsor
- Game 3 – Monday, April 14 at 7 p.m. at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium
- Game 4 – Wednesday, April 16 at 7 p.m. at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium
- Game 5 – Friday, April 18 at 7 p.m. at the WFCU Centre in Windsor (if necessary)
- Game 6 – Sunday, April 20 at 7 p.m. at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium (if necessary)
- Game 7 – Tuesday, April 22 at 7 p.m. at the WFCU Centre in Windsor (if necessary)
Playoff tickets for Games 3 and 4 will go on sale Tuesday, April 8 at 10 a.m. They can be purchased online or at The Aud’s Box Office.
