The Guelph Storm are going to be very well represented as players and staff report for Canada’s National Men’s Under-18 pre-tournament training camp.
The 2025 IIHF U18 Men’s World Championships will be taking place in Texas from April 23 until May 3.
In the meantime, Team Canada is looking to get their roster in shape with a pre-tournament camp in Oakville, Ont. from April 12 until April 15.
Three goaltenders, six defencemen and nine forwards from the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) received invitations to the camp. Three of those players – Colin Ellsworth, Quinn Beauchesne and Lev Katzin – are from the Guelph Storm.
Team’ Canada’s general manager, Scott Walker, is also the President of Hockey Operations for the Storm.
In a release on Sunday, the CHL also announced two-time Stanley Cup champion and Guelph Storm coach Cory Stillman will serve as the head coach for the U18 team. Stillman just wrapped up his first season as head coach for the Storm after spending four seasons as an assistant coach with the Arizona Coyotes.
