An illegal cannabis store has shut down after someone made a complaint to authorities.

The Brantford Police Service said they were contacted by a concerned citizen on Jan. 27. They were told a potentially illegal cannabis store was operating near Colborne Street and Clarence Street.

Officers then determined the store was not properly licensed.

Police executed a search warrant on April 10 and seized approximately $130,860 in illegal cannabis and cannabis-related products.

A 50-year-old man and a 51-year-old man, both from Barrie, were arrested and charged with distribution of illicit cannabis and possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling.
