Starting later this month, LRT service will be disrupted to allow for rehabilitation work at the Coliseum station.

The City of Edmonton said only one track will be available for Capital Line trains while work on the LRT bridge is done resulting in changes to train schedules and frequencies.

During the week, trains on the Capital Line will run 10 minutes from the start of service until 7 p.m.

After 7 p.m. trains will run every 15 minutes.

The city said regular service will resume on weekends.

The Metro Line will also be impacted by the construction.

On weekdays, trains will run every 10 minutes from NAIT/Blatchford Market to Century Park until 7 p.m.

The city said it will result in five-minute train frequency between Churchill and Century Park during peak times.

After 7 p.m. the Metro Line will have trains every 15 minutes and will resume service between NAIT/Blatchford Market and Health Sciences/Jubilee station.

Regular service will be offered on weekends.

The changes are scheduled to start April 27 and end once construction at the Coliseum station is finished in mid-September.
