The Edmonton Oilers signed a Czech forward to a one-year contract next season.
David Tomasek, 29, signed a $1.2-million contract with the Oilers.
He spent last season in the Swedish Hockey League and led the league in points (57) and assists (33), the Oilers said.
Tomasek’s team, Färjestad BK, won its first regular season league title since 2018-19.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Oilers announced the signing of German forward Josh Samanski.
