Man found dead in car in southwest Edmonton was fatally shot: police

A man found dead in a car in southwest Edmonton last week was fatally shot, the Edmonton Police Service says.

An autopsy conducted on Monday found Jose Cruz Gonzalez Aceves, 45, died of a gunshot wound, his death has been declared a homicide.

His body was found in the driver’s seat of a vehicle outside a house in the area of 41 Avenue and Chappelle Road on the evening of Feb. 18.
