Edmonton fire crews responding to fire at 3 homes under construction

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services responding to a fire at homes under construction in the Cavanagh neighbourhood early Wednesday morning. (Evan Klippenstein/CTV News Edmonton).

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services (EFRS) was in the Cavanagh neighbourhood Wednesday morning responding to a fire that spread to three homes under construction.

EFRS received a report of a fire near Cavanagh Boulevard SW and 30 Avenue SW just after 5 a.m.

When crews arrived they found the home under construction fully engulfed in flames with two nearby homes also under construction impacted, Edmonton Fire PIO said in an email.

No injuries were reported and no cause has been determined yet.

EFRS crews were also busy putting out a fire near 88 Street and 16 Avenue SW just before 6:30 a.m.

As of 9:44 a.m. Wednesday, fire crews are still on the scene working to extinguish the flames, Edmonton Fire PIO said. No injuries have been reported.
