The Alberta New Democrats are seeking a candidate for the Edmonton-Ellerslie by-election.
The seat was held by former NDP MLA Rod Loyola up until last month, when he stepped down to run for the federal Liberal party.
Any party member in good standing can submit an application by emailing nominations@albertandp.ca.
A candidate will be selected by party members at a vote on May 14.
The Government of Alberta is required by law to set a date for the by-election before Sept. 24.
