2 wanted in connection with shooting, arson in north Edmonton

Police are looking for two people involved in a shooting and vehicle arson nearly a year ago.

More than 10 shots were fired at a white SUV parked outside a Beaumaris residence near 102 Street and 158 Avenue at 10 p.m. on March 29, 2024.

Stray rounds hit multiple vehicles and a home in the area, according to an Edmonton Police Service release on Thursday.

Police say no serious injuries were reported.

Shortly after the shooting, a black SUV believed to be connected was seen burning in the area of 92 Street and 144 Avenue.

The fire damaged multiple adjacent vehicles and a property and police say it posed significant risk to the community.

Surveillance video showed two people running from the burning vehicle. Investigators are now trying to identify them.
