Two Alberta RCMP officers have been charged with dangerous driving.

The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) announced the charges against Const. Debra-Ann Walsh and Const. Dorian Tooze on Tuesday.

The charges stem from an incident on Feb. 25, 2020. It’s alleged that the two officers were driving dangerously while on duty for Parkland County RCMP.

ASIRT and the Alberta Crown Prosecution Service found there was evidence to support laying criminal charges against the officers.

They have both been charged with operating a conveyance in a manner dangerous to the public.

They are scheduled to appear in court on May 21 at the Stony Plain Court of Justice.
