Calgary police are looking to the public for help identifying a man believed to be responsible for two sexual assaults in a Beltline park last week.

Police say the first victim was walking her dog through Central Memorial Park, located at 12 Avenue and Fourth Street S.W., at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 7, when a man approached her and asked to pet her dog.

“He then proceeded to allegedly aggressively touch her without consent,” police said in a Tuesday news release.

The victim was able to push the man away and leave, but reported that as she left, she saw the man approach another woman walking a large, white dog and proceed to touch her without consent.

Police say the second victim has not yet come forward, but investigators want to speak with her.

Police released a CCTV photo of the suspect on Tuesday, and are asking anyone who recognizes him or has information about the incidents to call them at 403-266-1234.

He is described as having curly strawberry-blond hair, wearing black tracksuit pants with red trim, a dark-coloured hoodie, dark-coloured shoes with white soles and was carrying a black backpack.
