Semi truck jackknifes by Valley Ridge Boulevard in Saturday snowstorm, causing 2-3 vehicles to land in ditch: Calgary police

A multi-vehicle collision took place at Valley Ridge Boulevard and the Trans Canada Highway Saturday afternoon.

About 1 p.m., police said the Calgary Fire Department was reporting that a semi-truck jack knifed, causing two to three other vehicles to go into the ditch.

Police said there were no injuries and no lanes are blocked but traffic will slow as officers manage the scene.

There were numerous traffic incidents in Calgary Saturday afternoon as snow continued to fall, creating hazardous road conditions.
