Calgary police are investigating after a man was seriously hurt in a crash on Macleod Trail.
Officials say the man was hit at about 1 a.m. at 14 Avenue S.E.
The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition.
In an update on Monday afternoon, police said the victim, a man in his 50s was crossing the road when he was hit by a Honda Civic.
Officials say the victim suffered life-altering injuries.
The driver, an 18-year-old man, remained at the scene and police say they are cooperating.
Neither drugs nor alcohol are considered factors in the crash, but speed is being considered.
