The Roughnecks rode into Saskatoon for a Friday night showdown with their Saskatchewan rival and walked out with a gritty 10-6 victory over the Rush.
Curtis Dickson led the way with three goals for the visitors, including his 500th as a Roughneck, to help the club improve to 8-8, keeping their playoff hopes alive.
It was a night of firsts, as three different Roughnecks -- Riley Isaacs, Griffin Hall and Matt Sykes -- all registered their first NLL goals.
Nick Rose stopped 57 shots in goal as the Rush outshot the Roughnecks 63-47.

Two of Dickson’s goals came in the first two quarters, as the Roughnecks scrambled to stay within reach of the Rush, who led 5-4 at the break. They also got first-half tallies from Dane Dobbie and Isaacs.
In the third, Jesse King and Brayden Mayea scored to propel the Roughnecks to a slender lead before the Rush tied it up at six apiece heading to the final frame.
That’s when Rose rose to the occasion, shutting down the Rush as the Roughnecks registered four more, getting singles from Curtis and Haiden Dickson, Griffin Hall and Matt Skyes to make it 10-6.
Next up for Calgary is an April 18 tilt against the Desert Dogs in Las Vegas, followed the next night with a showdown in Calgary against the Colorado Mammoth on Fan Appreciation Night.
