Calgary is hosting the 2025 Centennial Cup and the Calgary Canucks are playing like they want to be in it.
The Canucks dominated Game 2 of their AJHL South Division Final Saturday night, defeating Drumheller 6-2 in front of 1,014 fans at Ken Bracko Arena.
The victory gave Calgary a 2-0 series lead over the Dragons.
The Canucks got goals from six different players in the first two periods to build a 6-1 lead, then hung on in third for the victory.
Riley Bracko, Hayden Fechner, Luc Trevors, Nathan Maloney, Jack Plandowski and Jayden Joly scored for the Canucks.

Lauchlan Kozicky scored a first-period power play goal for Drumheller, and Allen Sherpa notched a short-hander in the third.
Calgary outshot Drumheller 48-30 on the night, Lukas Renaud picking up the win. Drumheller pulled goalie Matthew Kondro after two periods, replacing him with Brandon Williams for the third.
Game 3 goes Tuesday night in Drumheller.
The Canucks are offering up to four free kids’ tickets with the purchase of an adult or senior ticket.
Ticket packages for the Centennial Cup, which starts May 8 at Max Bell Arena, are also available.
