A child was struck by a vehicle Friday evening in southwest Calgary.
According to police, the incident happened just after 8 p.m.
Police said a six-year-old was hit along 11 Street S.W. between Southampton Drive and Southdale Close.
The child was taken to hospital, but police said injuries were not life-threatening and not life-altering.
The driver remained at the scene, police said.
Shortly after the crash occurred, the YYC Transportation account on X advised motorists to “go slow and watch for fellow Calgarians.”
