A traffic stop in Collingwood Wednesday evening led to the arrest of three suspects who were previously wanted for a theft incident at a local grocery store.
According to Ontario Provincial Police, Collingwood and Blue Mountains detachment officers pulled a vehicle over at around 11:30 p.m. near the High Street and First Street intersection.
Police say the officers had prior knowledge of the driver, as he was wanted in relation to a theft incident at a local Metro store.
Upon further investigation, police say a second passenger in the vehicle was also involved in that theft incident, and a third passenger was a suspect in a separate theft at Living Water Resorts.
All three were arrested and charged with theft under $5,000. They were released with conditions and are scheduled for court dates in late April.
