An investigation by the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) into a broken shoulder has been closed.
A 24-year-old man was arrested in Barrie at the Bayfield Mall on November 21 for the suspected robbery of a taxi driver.
Police say the man resisted arrest and the officer deployed her taser.
The man was then pulled from the taxi, laid on the ground and handcuffed.

He was then brought to hospital where he was diagnosed with a fractured left clavicle.
Police determined the injury was probably due to the man falling off his bike two days prior. He admitted he didn’t go to the hospital after the fall.
On this record, SIU Director Joseph Martino found it was apparent the young man was solely responsible for his injury, leaving nothing to investigate.
