A quick stop for gas and a snack at a Shell station in Innisfil turned out to be a lucky trip for an auto dealer, whose decision to also grab a lottery ticket won him more than $70,000.
"I went into the store to buy a snack and decided to pick up a Poker Lotto All In ticket too," recalled Bradley Collyer. “As my ticket printed, the lottery terminal lit up, and I realized I’d won. The clerk asked me to stay so I could receive a call from OLG. In that moment, I was shocked, and everything was a blur.”
The Barrie man called his wife to share the news that he had won $71,330.20. “She couldn’t believe it,” he said. “I sent her a picture of the lottery terminal screen, and her disbelief turned into excitement and happiness.”
Collyer has been playing the lottery for decades and is now making plans to spend his winnings.
“I’m planning to purchase a new car and complete some renovations,” he said. “Winning provides a sense of freedom to do so much without having to worry about how to pay for it.”
