Guns, drugs seized during police raid, one arrested: OPP

Provincial police arrested a man in connection with a drug trafficking investigation in Simcoe County.

Provincial police investigating drug trafficking in Simcoe County raided a man’s home and vehicle on Tuesday, allegedly seizing drugs and firearms.

OPP officers with the Orillia and Muskoka street crime units took the man into custody as part of the drug trafficking investigation that launched last month.

Police say officers found prohibited guns, ammunition, 32 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine, 255 grams of cannabis, and $1,700 in cash.

The accused, a 24-year-old man from Scarborough, faces a slew of weapons and drug-related offences. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
