One fisherman was rescued late Sunday evening after falling into the freezing waters of Lake Rosseau.
Just after dark, Muskoka Lakes Fire received a call for an ice rescue out on the lake. Within 10 minutes of receiving the call the team arrived on scene to brave the cold waters.
Firefighters from four stations formed a rescue team and traversed the thin ice removing the angler from the icy water.
Officials say the fisherman was roughly 1,813 feet out from the shore.

Reports stated that the man had fallen through the ice numerous times by a 911 caller.
Once he was safely brought to the shore, fire officials say the fisherman had lacerations to his hands and face.
After he spent some time warming up, officials say the man refused service and was not taken to the hospital.
Muskoka Lakes Fire continues to stress that no ice is safe ice.
