Freezing drizzle, up to 10 cms of snow headed this way

Environment Canada is warning of treacherous road and walking conditions in today's weather advisory. Mon. Feb. 3, 2025.

A mixed bag of bad weather is headed our way.

Freezing drizzle is expected to start the morning but then the precipitation will turn to snow and dump five to 10 centimetres of heavy snow in central Ontario.

Environment Canada is warning of hazards due to sudden changes in the weather.

The weather advisory says, “Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.”

Areas affected include:

• Barrie, Collingwood, Hillsdale,
• Bracebridge, Gravenhurst,
• Huntsville, Baysville,
• Innisfil, New Tecumseth, Angus,
• Midland, Coldwater, Orr Lake,
• Newmarket, Georgina, Northern York Region,
• Orillia, Lagoon City, Washago,
• Owen Sound, Blue Mountains, Northern Grey County,
• Port Carling, Port Severn,
• Shelburne, Mansfield and Northern Dufferin County.
