Barrie Police were called to Dunlop Street West at 5:30 Wednesday morning about a pedestrian who had been struck by car.
The man was pronounced dead on scene.
Dunlop Street West was closed between Tiffin Street and County Road 27.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene. The Barrie Police Traffic Unit is continuing the investigation and asks anyone with information to contact police.
