‘Do you want fries with that....Sir?’

Hearing snores at the drive-thru window must be a first.

An Alliston late-night run for goodies was short-lived for one driver after he fell asleep behind the wheel of his car in a drive-thru lane in Alliston, Monday at 12:30 a.m.

Police arrived and located the driver near the pay window.

Police say the windows were up and the driver was unresponsive and that it took several attempts to rouse him.

A 47-year-old Otterville, Ont. man was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired by drugs and alcohol, and having a blood alcohol concentration over 80/bac.

In addition to the impaired charges, the driver was issued a 90-day license suspension, and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Bradford on February 20 to answer to the charges.
