A Barrie resident is facing drug possession and trafficking charges after police reportedly seized illicit drugs and other items from a home in Barrie on Wednesday.
According to Orillia OPP, their Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) began investigating a suspect in February who was allegedly trafficking drugs in Simcoe County.
Police say their investigation allowed them to confirm their suspicions.
Then, this past Wednesday, members of the Orillia, Collingwood and Huronia West CSCUs executed a search warrant at an address on Meadow Lane, arresting one individual.
Police say they also seized 133 grams of cocaine, 701 grams of cutting agent, $1,380 in Canadian currency, six cellular devices, Rolex and Cartier watches, and further evidence of trafficking.
The 25-year-old arrested individual from Barrie was charged with cocaine possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
They were released and scheduled for a future court date.
