Canada Post has handed out a Red Delivery notice for parts of central and northern Ontario.
A red service alert means postal workers are suspending delivery for the day and not sending post men and women out or recalling them.

Red Delivery alerts were issued for the following locations:
- Barrie
- Muskoka and surrounding areas
- Peterborough and surrounding areas
- Sault Ste. Marie
- Sudbury and surrounding areas
Canada Post also does not collect mail during a Red Alert. Delivery and mail collection will resume once conditions improve.
An alert can be issued for a particular community or for the entire province.
