Man arrested for impaired driving after four-vehicle collision on P.E.I.

A man has been arrested for impaired driving in connection with a four-vehicle collision in Travellers Rest, P.E.I.

The RCMP, along with Summerside and Kensington police, responded to the crash around 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say it appears a car rear-ended a truck that was hauling a boat, which resulted in a chain reaction involving two other vehicles.

One person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 34-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving by drug. Police say a drug recognition expert completed the test.

The investigation is ongoing.
