Two people have died due to a gastrointestinal outbreak at a Halifax nursing home.

Two people have died due to a gastrointestinal outbreak at a Halifax nursing home.

According to a notice sent to families from Saint Vincent’s Nursing Home on Monday, there have been 80 resident cases and two deaths connected to the outbreak.

The nursing home previously told CTV News Atlantic that Norovirus struck the facility on the weekend of March 22.

“We have 12 residents who are still exhibiting active GI symptoms at this time,” the statement reads.
