The price of gas and diesel decreased overnight in Nova Scotia after the interrupter clause was invoked.
The Nova Scotia Energy Board says prices are being adjusted amid “significant shifts” in the market.
The price of regular self-serve gasoline decreased overnight by 6.2 cents. The new minimum price is 143.1 cents per litre in the Halifax-area.
The price of diesel decreased by 11.6 cents to a new minimum price of 149.6 cents per litre.
In Cape Breton, the new minimum price of regular self-serve gasoline is now 145.0 cents per litre and the minimum price of diesel is 151.6 cents per litre.
Meanwhile, the price of gasoline dropped significantly in Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick over the weekend.
The next scheduled adjustment for all three Maritime provinces is Friday.
