A large power outage in Dartmouth, N.S., Monday afternoon affecting thousands of customers is over.
More than 14,000 customers were without electricity as of 1 p.m., according to Nova Scotia Power’s outage map. Power was restored later in the day.
The utility says the outage, which stretched from Crichton Park to Eastern Passage, was the result of a “vehicle accident.”

NSCC said the Ivany Campus, including the Aviation Institute, closed due to the outage.
